Celebrate JoBlo’s 25th Anniversary & win an exclusive company Bobblehead

We’re giving away 10 official JoBlo Bobbleheads to some of our long-time readers as a thank you for reading over the years.

JoBlo.com is one of the last genuinely independent movie websites, and one of the things we pride ourselves on is how many regular visitors we have that visit the site every day. Many websites have gotten bought out or, sadly, gone defunct, but twenty-five years since it was started, JoBlo remains as vital as ever and is indeed the last of the independents.

And now, we want to thank some of our regulars by giving away ten of our EXCLUSIVE OFFICIAL JOBLO BOBBLEHEADS that many of us who work for the site have sitting on our desks. To note, these Bobbleheads CANNOT BE PURCHASED. This is an EXCLUSIVE OFFER for our fans. Whenever I travel for JoBlo, which is more often now that the pandemic has cooled off, I bring my Bobblehead. It’s been with me on movie set visits, junkets, events like TIFF and CinemaCon, and even, once, in the hands of the great Jeff Goldblum. Don’t believe me? See for yourselves:

If you want one of these EXCLUSIVE babies, which are generally LIMITED exclusively to staff members, all you have to do is write us a few words (maximum 500 words) about what the website means to you. If you’re a regular, we’d love to know how long you’ve been visiting the site, why you’re a fan, and your favourite things about the place.

We’d also love to know if, perhaps, you’re a more recent fan of the site, thanks to one of our YouTube Channels? We’ve raked up more than 10 BILLION VIEWS over the channels, and the JoBlo YouTube Network is in-depth movie documentaries like 80s Horror Memories to our in-house series like WTF Happened to This Movie and Awfully Good, to celebrity interviews and more!

We’ll send our EXCLUSIVE, LIMITED EDITION BobbleHeads to our ten favourite essays.

The Winners will be announced Friday the 17th of November!

I started visiting the site shortly after Berge Garabedian created it in 1998 (25 years sure goes by fast). I vividly remember sharing links from the site over ICQ (remember that one?) with my pals before, years later, getting my first job as a film critic with the site. The first movie I ever reviewed was the now-forgotten flick The Martian Child (read my review, which was written in the days before Grammarly, here). I was so excited just to be reviewing movies back them, and I had NO IDEA how much I would be allowed to grow with the site, thanks to Berge’s mentorship (honestly, folks – he’s been ONE HELL OF A GOOD BOSS). It’s been extremely good to me over the years, and I’m proud to now serve as the editor-in-chief.

In the meantime, check out these awesome pics we captured during our celeb encounters over the years:

Baby Ryan Reynolds circa Van Wilder with JoBlo himself!
EIC Chris Bumbray meets his hero, Tom Cruise
Our EIC meets Tarantino!
Berge loved Roger Ebert, but had to tell him how wrong he was about Fight Club
Be like Jude Law and Rose Byrne – get a JoBlo Bobblehead!

In the meantime, here’s a blast from the past with some screenshots from the different eras of JoBlo:
