Conor McGregor Accused of Rape at NBA Finals, Issues Denial Statement

Conor McGregor has been accused of rape during a recent appearance at the NBA Finals. The athlete has denied the allegations, as per a report from TMZ.

Demand letters sent to McGregor by attorney Ariel Mitchell state the incident occurred after Game 4 of the NBA Finals on June 9, 2023. The letters claim McGregor “violently” assaulted a woman inside of a men’s bathroom.

The letters also claim NBA and Miami Heat security separated the woman from her friend. Guards allegedly forced her into a restroom McGregor and his security guard were inside of. The letter also claims “security refused to let [the woman] exit or allow anyone else, including her friend, inside the bathroom.”

What Is Conor McGregor Accused Of?

According to the accusation, McGregor emerged from a handicapped stall “and shoved his tongue in the victim’s mouth and aggressively kissed her.” He also pinned her up against the wall, according to the letters. McGregor allegedly attempted to sodomize the woman, as well as forced oral penetration. The situation only ended after she was able to elbow McGregor a handful of times and flee.

The report says that she left her purse in the bathroom, however, and had to fight with McGregor’s security guards. The guards allegedly held it “hostage” before they finally gave it back. She then reported the assault to the local authorities.

In a statement, representatives for McGregor denied the charges. They also said that “Mr. McGregor will not be intimidated,” although did not add anything else.

McGregor’s appearance at the NBA Finals game also drew controversy for his actions on the court. In a pre-planned advertisement for McGregor’s TIDL Sport pain relief spray on the court, McGregor was meant to jokingly attack the Miami Heat’s mascot. Instead, according to a report from The Athletic, the man playing “Burnie” was sent to the ER after several blows to the head.
