Dr DisRespect Joins Rumble After Twitch Controversy

Dr Disrespect’s controversial career and the events leading to his bans on major platforms remain a significant topic in the gaming community. His move to Rumble marks the latest chapter, as the streamer aims to rebuild after years of scrutiny and setbacks.

Here’s what caused Dr Disrespect’s bans, his move to Rumble, and its impact on his streaming career.

Dr DisRespect moves to Rumble streaming after Twitch controversy

Dr Disrespect, whose real name is Herschel “Guy” Beahm IV, has joined the streaming platform Rumble following controversies that led to his removal from Twitch and demonetization on YouTube.

Beahm’s agreement with Rumble includes producing exclusive content for the platform’s Premium service while continuing to offer free streams. Additionally, he will take on an advisory role as the head of Rumble Gaming, focusing on developing the platform’s gaming community.

The move follows years of challenges for Beahm, starting with a Twitch ban in 2020. Twitch never disclosed the reason, but in 2024, Beahm admitted to “inappropriate” conversations with a minor in 2017. This admission led to consequences, including sponsors like Turtle Beach severing ties and YouTube demonetizing his channel. YouTube rejected Beahm’s appeal to restore monetization in late 2024, narrowing his options for streaming platforms.

Rumble confirmed that Beahm’s compensation includes equity tied to performance milestones. The platform, known for its focus on free speech and minimal moderation, has drawn many high-profile and controversial creators. Rumble CEO Chris Pavlovski highlighted plans to expand into gaming and cryptocurrency, with Beahm playing a key role in the gaming division’s growth.

Dr Disrespect’s first stream on Rumble is scheduled for December 2. This partnership underscores Rumble’s ambition to expand its gaming category while giving Beahm a new platform after setbacks on other services. His role on Rumble will focus on building and fostering a gaming community.
