Jack Black has gone above and beyond when it comes to promoting The Super Mario Bros Movie, and that includes starring in Peaches, a music video which finds the actor dressed up as Bowser while proclaiming his love for Princess Peach. You can check out the Peaches music video below and find yourself humming it for the rest of the day.

As you would expect, Jack Black gives his all for Peaches, which he actually helped develop for the movie. “Bowser plays an incredible piano ballad that extols his love for Princess Peach,Super Mario Bros Movie co-director Aaron Horvath explained in the press notes. “As we were trying to get the point across of Bowser’s feelings for Peach, it seemed more fun, funny and sweet if we had him sing a song about it. Jack Black is an incredible singer and musician, so we spent a night writing the song and sent the demo to Jack. A couple days later, Jack feels us back a finished track. He had added his own twist on it and his pianist played an original music track for it. We were blown away.

While working underground to fix a water main, Brooklyn plumbers Mario (Chris Pratt) and brother Luigi (Charlie Day) are transported down a mysterious pipe and wander into a magical new world,”reads the official synopsis. “But when the brothers are separated, Mario embarks on an epic quest to find Luigi. With the assistance of a Mushroom Kingdom resident Toad (Keegan-Michael Key) and some training from the strong-willed ruler of the Mushroom Kingdom, Princess Peach (Anya Taylor-Joy), Mario taps into his own power.

The Super Mario Bros Movie has received mixed reviews from critics, including our own Chris Bumbray. “Here’s my problem with the movie – it wasn’t much of a film at all,Bumbray wrote in his review. “For the most part, I felt like I was watching someone play Great mario, and being a pretty devoted fan of the games, I wanted my turn at the controls. Watching people play Mario Kart gold super mario odyssey will never be as much fun as playing it yourself, but – I’ll give the movie this – I wanted to run home, turn on the Switch, and play the heck out of the game for a few hours. It’ll sell a lot of games, and kids will love it, but I wouldn’t be surprised if the novelty wears off for older fans and they all start itching to just go home and play the game themselves.” You can check out the rest of Bumbray’s review right here.
