Steph Curry Talks A24 Documentary Transcending Basketball

The new Stephen Curry documentary from A24 and Apple is out now. In a recent interview promoting the film, Curry hopes that the film will transcend basketball.

Curry hopes fans come out of the documentary learning more

In a promotional video for the upcoming film, Stephen Curry: Underrated, Curry was asked what he hopes the audience takes away from it. According to the superstar, Curry hopes that audiences learn everyone has something unique to offer the world.

“I hope audiences are inspired by understanding that we’re all made different and unique, that we’re all here for a reason,” said Curry. “And once you find whatever that is, embrace it, run your own race, know that you have a lot to offer the world. Whether you impact one person or a million people, that’s enough.”

“Surrounding yourself with amazing people, and knowing that you don’t do anything great or special in this world by yourself, is the most rewarding kind of feeling,” the athlete continued. “This […] documentary kind of shares what that means for me, and it’s not just a basketball story. It’s not just a sports story. It’s hopefully something that will resonate with life.”

The documentary comes from A24, and is available now on Apple TV+.

“The remarkable coming-of-age story of Stephen Curry, one of the most influential, dynamic, and unexpected players in basketball history and his rise from an undersized college player to a four-time NBA champion,” reads the official synopsis of the film.
