In the first episode, Cody, Joe, Kyle, and their group, mount a rescue mission to get Congresswoman Hernandez, who had been captured by the Los Tigres Cartel, back. The Cartel slaughtered her family and took her away. This mission makes them cross the Mexican border and they manage to rescue Hernandez. Unfortunately, one of the members, Dean, is killed after Cody drives the car they were in into the Rio Grande River.
Cody returns in the second episode, but only for a brief moment. He initially joins Joe and the QRF (Quick Reaction Force) team for a mission but leaves after.
