What Happened to Lisa Vultaggio’s Hannah Scott?

Lisa Vultaggio’s Hannah Scott was a significant character in ABC’s General Hospital between 1999 and 2001. As such, her departure after just two years has greatly intrigued fans, who wish to learn more about the character and her storyline.

Here is everything we have uncovered on Hannah Scott’s fate and storyline in the soap opera.

Hannah Scott’s fate on General Hospital explained

Lisa Vultaggio’s Hannah Scott made her first appearance in General Hospital in 1999. She was an FBI agent assigned to obtain information on Sonny Corinthos. This was primarily because of her uncanny resemblance to two of Corinthos’ former lovers, Brenda Barrett and Lily Corinthos. The FBI believed Sonny would easily trust her because of said resemblance.

Things became complicated when Hannah fell in love with Sonny. Carly Spencer caught wind of Hannah’s growing feelings for Sonny, but when she brought it to their attention, both Sonny and Jason Morgan disbelieved her.

Sonny eventually reciprocated Hannah’s feelings, beginning a relationship. This prompted the FBI to bring in Hannah’s father, Roy DiLucca, to help them. DiLucca began spying on his daughter and Sonny shortly after, beginning work at Sonny’s coffeehouse, from where he would track their movements.

Jason and Carly found out the truth behind Hannah and Roy and their assignment to obtain information on Sonny. They then informed Sonny, who disrupted the FBI’s operations by giving Hannah false information about himself. He then ended his relationship with Hannah and cut ties with her, despite her pleas that she genuinely loved him.

After her and Sonny’s breakup, Hannah Scott began working as an official FBI liaison for the Port Charles Police Department. However, she and her father were in danger from FBI supervisor Agent Larkin, who tried to pressure and blackmail them.

Roy DiLucca tried to find dirt on Larkin, subsequently traveling to the Caribbean to get information on Larkin’s illegal financial dealings. Larkin became aware of DiLucca’s attempts to expose him and kidnapped Hannah. However, DiLucca, with Sonny’s help, rescued her, which led to the latter getting amnesty from the FBI.

Hannah Scott continued working for the FBI but left General Hospital in 2001 after getting a transfer to Alaska. According to an ABC spokesperson, Lisa Vultaggio’s departure from the series was due to a “mutual decision” between her and ABC.
