Lloyd Pierce has been a staple at the Yellowstone Dutton Ranch since the beginning, but his presence in Season 5 has been notably limited. As the plot shifts and new characters take the spotlight, fans are left wondering about Lloyd’s fate.
Here is more about Lloyd’s future in Yellowstone Season 5.
Is Lloyd dead or alive in Yellowstone Season 5?
At the end of Yellowstone Season 5, Part 1, the ranch hands were split between two locations. While some headed to the Four Sixes Ranch in Texas, Lloyd and Colby stayed at Yellowstone Ranch. The Texas storyline quickly took center stage. This leaves Lloyd largely absent from the first few episodes of Season 5, Part 2. However, marketing materials for the season hinted that Lloyd would play a significant role in the remaining episodes.
Lloyd’s presence in the season premiere and subsequent teasers created the expectation that he would remain a key figure in the series. In the trailer, Lloyd is heard asking Rip, “So, we getting in this fight?”
This line strongly indicates that Lloyd is ready to stand by Rip and the Yellowstone Ranch in what seems to be an upcoming conflict. Though his appearances have been limited, it seems likely that Lloyd’s loyalty to the Duttons will bring him back as tensions rise.
Given Lloyd’s longstanding presence on the ranch along with rumors of a possible Yellowstone Season 6, it seems unlikely that he will be written out in the near future.
Will Lloyd return in Yellowstone Season 5?
Lloyd Pierce, portrayed by Forrie J. Smith, will return in Yellowstone Season 5, Part 2. While he remains at the Yellowstone Dutton Ranch, his role in the upcoming episodes remains somewhat uncertain. He was initially featured in the Season 5 premiere and appeared briefly in trailers. However, his presence has been limited in the early episodes of Part 2.
