In a recent incident, Tekashi 6ix9ine was arrested by feds for the umpteenth time for violating another set of laws. But what did he actually do?

Here are all the available details regarding rapper Tekashi 6ix9ine’s recent arrest.

Here’s why Rapper Tekashi 6ix9ine was arrested

The 28-year-old musician was taken into remand after he allegedly violated his supervised release.

Tekashi 6ix9ine was initially arrested by feds in 2018 for racketeering, drug trafficking, and weapons charges. Multiple members of the notorious Nine Trey Gangsta Bloods were also indicted on similar accusations, alongside him. Due to his involvement, the rapper was looking at over 30 years in prison if convicted, as per ABC News.

However, 6ix9ine instead decided to strike a deal with the authorities and testified against many of his co-defendants, resulting in their incarceration. In order to obtain a reduced arrest sentence, he also served as a witness in the trial of infamous gangsters, Anthony Ellison and Aljermiah Mack.

Consequently, the criminal duo was charged and found guilty of conspiring racketeering schemes. Despite his attempts, Tekashi 6ix9ine was indicted in 2018 on charges of racketeering and conspiracy to commit murder. He was subsequently discharged in 2020 and was put under supervised release.

From what is being reported, 6ix9ine recently violated his parole, causing the feds to take him into custody once again. As such, the rapper is due to make an appearance at a New York federal court on the coming Tuesday.
