Is Linden Ashby’s Cameron Kristen leaving The Young and the Restless?

Linden Ashby’s Cameron Kristen is likely to leave The Young and the Restless.

Cameron was introduced as a criminal who was part of the show for almost one year. In 2023, he made a comeback with his character getting killed soon. However, Cameron continued to stay on the show as a hallucination of Sharon Newman.

Sharon is going through a tough time on the show as she is unable to move on from her daughter’s demise. Her mental health deteriorates as she starts getting haunted by Cameron’s spirit. He even encourages her to kill Daniel to get over the guilt of not being able to protect Cassie.

Soon, Sharon shows up at Daniel’s home and carries out her evil plan. She decides to poison his whiskey but gets caught red-handed by Daniel’s wife Heather. The two get into a confrontation which ends in Heather’s death after Sharon pushes her into a panic state.

Further, Cameron asked her to dump the corpse. She does the same and decides to frame Daniel for Heather’s murder. However, Sharon’s conscience kicks in and she confesses everything to Micheal, Chance, and Nick.

In the recent episodes, Cameron returned to haunt Sharon again who insisted that she shouldn’t be in prison. He further told her that she needed him but Sharon told him that she was now stronger.

As Sharon closed her eyes, Cameron was gone. This scene hints at Cameron’s final departure as Sharon is slowly getting a grip on her life. It will be interesting to see if Sharon’s mental health problems come to an end or if Cameron will return to haunt her.
