Taylor Swift recently surprised the Kansas City Chiefs with her homemade pop-tarts which she baked for them herself. This isn’t the first time the singer has delighted the NFL team with her cooking skills. Here is what the defensive backs coach, David Merritt said about the unexpected gift from the singer.

Chiefs’ coach reveals Taylor Swift made victory pop-tarts for the team

Taylor Swift, who is preparing to commence the last leg of her Eras Tour in Vancouver, has sent a sweet present for the Kansas City Chiefs.

According to a recent X (formerly Twitter) post made by the Chiefs’ defensive backs coach, David Merritt, the “Blank Space” hitmaker surprised them with homemade pop-tarts following the Chiefs’ win against the Carolina Panthers.

Merritt wrote, “Taylor Swift baked homemade victory Pop Tarts me! Yolonda Merritt said, “She’s done it all season for different people Dave,” I thought I was SPECIAL. Sweet young woman regardless!”

Although Merritt asserted that he thought the pop-tarts were especially for him, his wife revealed to him that Swift sent out pop-tarts to other team members as well. Apart from the post on X, he also shared a photo of the pop-tarts box. It read, “VICTORY POP TARTS! Congratulations! Love Taylor.”

When Taylor Swift first made pop-tarts for the Chiefs in February 2024, it became quite a sensation on the internet. According to People, at that time the brand, Pop-Tarts, also urged the singer to release her home recipe.

As per Life & Style Magazine, in June 2024, Swift’s beau and Kansas City Chiefs tight end, Travis Kelce, disclosed that he loves cooking different dishes with the singer. He told a reporter at that time, “I’m going to keep that one to myself because I thoroughly enjoy cooking with her, so it’s something I would rather keep personal.”
