Rebel Moon Wurm: Ex Materia: Heroes & Monsters publishes later this month from Titan Books. The second of two official companion books for Zack Snyder’s Rebel Moon franchise, the novel takes an in-depth look at the words villains, monsters, animals, costumes, and more.

What is Rebel Moon Wurm: Ex Materia: Heroes & Monsters about?

The book comes from author Peter Aperlo, who has previously written a number of art and companion books, including Watchmen: The Art of the Film, Watchmen: The Official Film Companion, Batman v Superman: Dawn of Justice: The Art of the Film, Army of the Dead: The Making of the Film, and more.

Snyder’s first Rebel Moon movie, Rebel Moon — Part One: A Child of Fire, premiered on Netflix in December 2023. It was followed by a sequel, Rebel Moon — Part Two: The Scargiver, in April 2024. Netflix also recently released R-rated director’s cuts for both Rebel Moon movies. The director’s cuts are titled Rebel Moon — Chapter One: Chalice of Blood and Rebel Moon — Chapter Two: Curse of Forgiveness.
The franchise stars Sofia Boutella, Djimon Hounsou, Ed Skrein, Michiel Huisman, Bae Doona, Ray Fisher, Charlie Hunnam, Anthony Hopkins as the voice of Jimmy, and more.
