HBO has released a new My Brilliant Friend Season 4 trailer, previewing the upcoming final season of the coming-of-age drama.

My Brilliant Friend was created for TV by Saverio Costanzo and is based on the Neapolitan Novels series by Elena Ferrante, with the series adapting the entirety of the literary work into its four seasons. The series stars Alba Rohrwacher, Irene Maiorino, Fabrizio Gifuni, Stefano Dionisi, Anna Rita Vitolo, Pier Giorgio Bellocchio, Daria Deflorian, Lino Musella, Eduardo Scarpetta, Edoardo Pesce, and Sonia Bergamasco.

My Brilliant Friend Season 4 is scheduled to debut on Monday, September 9, 2024. New episodes will debut weekly.

The latest trailer previews the upcoming final season, which will follow Elena Greco and the most important friend in her life, Raffaella ‘Lila’ Cerullo, as the two catch up. “The series follows Elena Greco and the most important friend in her life, Raffaella ‘Lila’ Cerullo. After meeting as children in 1950s Naples, their story goes on to cover over 60 years, exploring the mystery of Lila — Elena’s brilliant best friend and, in a way, her worst enemy,” reads the show’s newest logline.

The series is written by Ferrante, Francesco Piccolo, Laura Paolucci, and Saverio Costanzo, with Laura Bispuri set as the director for the final season. It is executive produced by Saverio Costanzo, Paolo Sorrentino, Jennifer Schuur, Elena Recchia, Laura Paolucci, and Guido De Laurentiis.
