Recent rumors on the web suggest that Disney Plus’ Ahsoka will be canceled after Season 2. This has naturally sparked the interest and curiosity of many fans, who wish to learn whether there is any truth to these rumors.

Is Star Wars’ Ahsoka Season 2 getting canceled by Disney?
Disney has not officially confirmed that Ahsoka Season 2 is getting canceled.
The rumors of Ahsoka’s cancellation after Season 2 hit the internet due to a recent scoop from reputable but semi-reliable industry insider Daniel Ritchman (Daniel RPK) via Patreon. In his Patreon, Ritchman claimed that Disney was planning a “fitting conclusion” to the series for Ahsoka Season 2 in case a Season 3 renewal did not happen.
Lucasfilm first confirmed that Ahsoka Season 2 was in development in January 2024. That same month, concept art for Season 2 was also shared on social media.

Season 2 will begin production in 2025. Series star Natasha Liu Bordizzo also seemingly confirmed this timeline, mentioning she could not attend Dragon Con 2025 because of filming commitments. As such, Ahsoka Season 2 will very likely be released in 2026. Daniel RPK mentioned via Patreon on November 17 that Season 2 would begin filming in April 2025.
As of the time of writing, the story of Ahsoka Season 2 is unknown. However, it will pick up from where Season 1 ended. Ahsoka Season 1’s ending saw Sabine Wren and Ahsoka Tano get stuck on Peridea. The ending also saw Grand Admiral Thrawn return to the main Star Wars Galaxy. Ezra Bridger was also seen reuniting with Hera Syndulla. Meanwhile, Baylan Skoll and Shin Hati also landed on Peridea. Skoll subsequently realized a great power lurking within the planet, expressing his intentions to harness it.
