Why Fans Think Tom Hardy Will Never Play Venom Again

Fans of Tom Hardy are already wondering if he will play Venom again after Venom: The Last Dance, or whether he is done with the character. The third and final installment of the superhero movie series follows Eddie Brock and his symbiote companion Venom. They are pursued by Xenophages and a Clandestine military unit. However, the only way for them to defeat their enemy is to make an ultimate sacrifice. With the movie’s end teasing a chapter conclusion for Symbiote, many have already given up on the hopes of Hardy’s return.

Here’s everything you need to if Hardy will return in the future to reprise Venom or not.

Is Tom Hardy done with Venom after The Last Dance?

Venom: The Last Dance marks Tom Hardy’s character’s official exit. However, he teased to reprise his character in the future in any capacity, if possible. The actor also further teased a Spider-Man and Venom crossover.

Many fans have a hard time believing Hardy would return to play Venom, given the recent installment’s sad ending. The final moments see Venom making a tough decision to put an end to Knulls’ forces. Alongside Rex Strickland, the symbiote traps the beasts and drags them all to acid-bathe them.

The acid and fire explosion causes Venom’s death, whereas Eddie manages to escape somehow. He goes to New York City to fulfill Venom’s last wish of seeing the Statue of Liberty. The Last Dance’s emotional ending made many believe that it was truly the end of their beloved character and they might see him again.

However, Tom Hardy might have a slight change of mind in the future, as he appeared to be not done with Venom in his latest interview with IGN. He expressed his deep love for the character and his interest in coming back anytime to play him. Hardy quoted, “I’d play them any time, you know, because there’s a special place that exists within me to want to operate those two characters wherever you put them in whatever capacity.”

Previously, Hardy had also expressed his interest in seeing Venom fighting Spider-Man and how he would also be up for it if it happened. This scene might mean something for the symbiote’s return in future MCU projects. That is, if the makers decide to awaken him from the dead.
