What Happened to Anthony Richardson? NFL Injury Update

Anthony Richardson, the 22-year-old star quarterback of the Indianapolis Colts, recently suffered an injury during an NFL game. Richardson had to exit the field in the first quarter of the Colts’ match against the Pittsburgh Steelers on September 29 after experiencing discomfort in his hip.

Here is all the latest information on Anthony Richardson’s latest setback and whether the Indianapolis Colts quarterback will play in the next game.

Anthony Richardson suffered a hip injury in the first quarter of the game against the Pittsburgh Steelers. While the star quarterback was on his 16-yard run, he was tackled by Steelers star DeShon Elliott. Although Elliott made Richardson fumble the ball, another Steelers player, Minkah Fitzpatrick, came rushing in and struck Richardson on the right side of his hip, causing the Colts QB to go down on the field.

Richardson returned to the field after getting a brief treatment in the locker room. However, he was subbed out of the game after injuring himself again while on a 1-yard run. Veteran QB Joe Flacco came in his place and guided the Colts to a great win against the Steelers, with the final scoreline reading 27-24.

When will Anthony Richardson return to play with the Indianapolis Colts?

Anthony Richardson’s return timeline is yet to be revealed, as he has to get an MRI to examine his injury. Previously, Richardson injured himself last year in October, suffering a blow to the A/C joint in his shoulder, for which he had to get surgery.

Talking about his injury to the press, Richardson said, ”I’m feeling a little sore, but I’m feeling good. We go the W today. Great execution by everybody on the field today. I think I’mma be good. Just a little soreness. People gonna talk about injuries. People gonna say, ‘Oh, (he’s) injury prone, blah blah blah.’ Nobody wants to get injured. So, of course, I was like, ‘Man, not again.”’ (via Bolavip)
