What happened to Park Jung-ja in Hellbound Season 2?

Park Jung-ja found her life in danger from Sung-jip, who initially wished to kill her as he believed she was a dangerous symbol if left alive. This was while he had been opposed to New Truth. However, his motive changed when Secretary Lee realized New Truth would be hard to contain. His new motive for killing Jung-ja was to prevent other people from finding and using her as a weapon.

However, fortunately for Jung-ja, Hye-jin saved her life and protected her from Sung-jip and every group that was after her. Season 2’s ending saw Jung-ja reunite with her now adult son, whom she had not seen for eight years since she had received the decree that condemned her to hell.

Hye-jin also promised to eventually tell the child about her parents, their love and sacrifice for her. It was ultimately revealed the child did not survive, contrary to popular belief.
