Honey Bunny or Renewed It for Season 2?

Fans of Prime Video’s Indian drama spy-action series Citadel: Honey Bunny are eagerly awaiting updates on its future. The spin-off follows titular characters Bunny and Honey as they tackle a side job while confronting their dangerous past to protect their daughter. As viewers wait for news, the big question is whether there will be a Season 2 or if cancelation is a possibility.

Here’s all the information on Citadel: Honey Bunny Season 2 and if it might happen.

Is Citadel: Honey Bunny canceled or renewed for Season 2?

Prime Video has neither confirmed nor renewed Citadel: Honey Bunny for Season 2 yet.

The renewal will most likely depend on how the show performs on the streaming platform and if it manages to get views. But, as the universe is expanding with the second season of the original Citadel series, there are chances that Season 2 for Honey Bunny might also take place.

However, it might take some time for it to materialize even if it is greenlit. The show is helmed by filmmakers Raj and DK, who are expected to be busy working on other Prime Video shows such as The Family Man Season 3 and Farzi Season 2 for the next couple of years. So, if renewed, it will be a few years until Honey Bunny Season 2 comes out unless a new director is hired.

In the season finale that aired on November 7, 2024, titled “Play,” viewers witnessed an intense showdown as Honey and Bunny teamed up. Together they try to unleash their full power, fighting for love, family, and their daughter’s future. Meanwhile, KD takes control of the situation, leading to a fierce battle that really puts their strength to the test.

The Indian version takes us on a ride through the Citadel universe, created by the Russo Brothers. Honey Bunny serves as a prequel to the original series featuring Priyanka Chopra and Richard Madden that premiered in 2023. Set in 1992, the story kicks off with Bunny, a stuntman, who brings on board Honey, a struggling actress, for a side job.

They quickly find themselves in a thrilling world filled with action, espionage, and betrayal. Fast forward years later, and their dangerous past comes knocking. This forces Honey and Bunny to team up again to safeguard their young daughter, Nadia. Interestingly, Priyanka Chopra plays Nadia in the original Citadel series.

Citadel: Honey Bunny cast features Varun Dhawan, Samantha Ruth Prabhu, Kay Kay Menon, Sikandar Kher, Saqib Saleem, and many others.
