Cher recalls losing her virginity at 14
Pop icon Cher released “Cher: The Memoir, Part One” on November 19 in which she recalled her first sexual experience as a teenager. According to PEOPLE, the music legend had a crush on a boy in her neighborhood. The two began dating when she was 14, further revealing that they used to kiss in her bedroom.
Cher detailed the boy was “sweet enough” when they were alone. However, she noted as soon as his friends came around, he would treat her “like an embarrassing kid.” In one instance, Cher recalled that he “ditched” her after an incident when the boys were planning to go to a restaurant. The Grammy winner shared that her boyfriend’s friends mockingly asked him if he was going to bring “that kid,” referring to her. Cher remembered feeling “dismissed” after that.
The actor continued, “I was so hurt when he did that, I had revenge sex with him.” Cher explained that she “never wanted to,” further adding, “Otherwise I would have done it one of the five hundred other times he asked.” However, she felt “so angry at being dismissed” that she made up her mind to “loan out” her virginity to him.
Cher further recalled her first time having sex, writing, “When what turned out to be a massively overrated experience came to an end, I asked him, ‘Is that it? Are we finished?’” Later, she told the boy “to go home and never come back.” The singer added that she wanted him to feel “just as dismissed” as he made her feel.
