Here’s what Chmerkovskiy said about Inaba’s comments.

What did Val Chmerkovskiy and Kelsey Anderson say about Carrie Ann Inaba on DWTS?

On November 26, contestant Joey Graziadei and his partner Jenna Johnson performed a tennis-themed style dance for their freestyle routine to Jamiroquai’s popular song, “Canned Heat” on Dancing with the Stars Season 33. While other judges praised their performance, judge Carrie Ann Inaba’s criticism of the pair caught immense attention. She deemed their routine as a “tad underwhelming.” Moreover, she said, “I just found some of the angles, because of the racket, had to be super tight and it just didn’t nail it.”

Her negative criticism didn’t sit well with Johnson’s beau, Val Chmerkovskiy, who immediately reacted to Inaba’s comments and took to social media to share his disappointment. He posted an Instagram story, where he wrote, “Whaaaat did you say his racket swing needed to be tighter? What!?” Expressing additional disappointment, he further wrote, “10 weeks of busting your ass for that?! Unbelievable.” (via US Weekly)

Graziadei’s fiancee, Kelsey Anderson, also disagreed with Inaba’s comments. From the audience section, she instantly started booing, showcasing her disapproval of the judge’s comment.

Even fans have been unhappy about Inaba’s comments about the Season 33 winners, who according to them have been critiqued despite bringing something unique to the stage. Previously, the DWTS judge received backlash from fans for being biased against Chandler Kinney as well. They observed that she was unfair to her the whole season but tried to make up for it in the finale by singing her praises. Many fans also took to social media to express their frustration over Inaba’s upsetting comments about fan-favorite pairs.
