Glen Powell will voice a character in an upcoming Halloween special episode of Family Guy.

Powell recently starred in the 2024 blockbuster Twisters alongside Daisy Edgar-Jones and Anthony Ramos, which is currently playing in United States theaters.

Now, via Deadline, Powell will voice a character named Patrick McCloskey, who is a competitive pumpkin carver, in an upcoming Halloween-centric special episode of Family Guy.

What will the Family Guy Halloween special with Glen Powell be about?

“Peter and his friends aim to unseat the reigning champion (Powell) in Quahog’s annual Pumpkin Contest by any means necessary,” the synopsis for the episode, which premieres on October 14, 2024, on Hulu, reads.

Along with the Halloween special, a Family Guy Christmas special will premiere on Hulu this coming December, though plot details for that episode remain under wraps at this time. An exact release date has not yet been announced.

Derek Jacobi will also return to voice Stewie’s teddy bear, Rupert, in the forthcoming Family Guy Halloween special episode.

In addition to Twisters, Powell is known for starring in 2003’s Spy Kids 3-D: Game Over, 2014’s The Expendables 3, 2016’s Everybody Wants Some!!, 2016’s Hidden Figures, 2022’s Top Gun: Maverick, 2023’s Anyone but You, and 2023’s Hit Man.

He’ll soon be seen in Huntington, a new A24 movie directed by John Patton Ford that also stars Margaret Qualley, Ed Harris, Jessica Henwick, Zach Woods, Topher Grace, Raff Law, and Bill Camp. He’s also starring in a remake of The Running Man, which is being directed by Baby Driver’s Edgar Wright.

Created by Seth MacFarlane, Family Guy initially aired in 1999. It has now run for 22 seasons, while Family Guy Season 23 isn’t expected to air until 2025.

The first 22 seasons of Family Guy are all currently streaming on Hulu at this time.
