Indiana Jones solves an ancient puzzle in new Dial of Destiny clip

Indiana Jones may be in his twilight years, but that doesn’t mean that he can’t solve a few more ancient puzzles. Disney has released a new clip for Indiana Jones and the Dial of Destiny in which the famed hero uses the power of water displacement to find his way out of a pickle.

Indiana Jones and the Dial of Destiny had its world premiere at the Cannes Film Festival last month, but the early reception was mixed. Some had a lot of fun with the movie and had plenty of praise for Harrison Ford, but others felt it was bogged down in nostalgia. Either way, I can’t wait to watch the film for myself and go on one final adventure with my favorite hero.

The film stars Harrison Ford as the legendary archaeologist, as well as Phoebe Waller-Bridge (Fleabag), Mads Mikkelsen (Fantastic Beasts: The Secrets of Dumbledore), Toby Jones (Jurassic World: Fallen Kingdom), Boyd Holbrook (Logan), Antonio Banderas (Pain and Glory), Shaunette Renne Wilson (Black Panther), Thomas Kretschmann (Das Boot), Olivier Richters (Black Widow), Ethann Isidore (Deadly), and John Rhys-Davies (Raiders of the Lost Ark). James Mangold directed and also co-wrote the script alongside Jez Butterworth and John-Henry Butterworth.

Although Steven Spielberg didn’t end up directing Indy’s last adventure, he did see the film prior to its Cannes premiere and loved it. “I just had that experience two nights ago,” Spielberg said. “Bob Iger had a screening for a lot of the Disney executives, and I came to the screening along with the director James Mangold. Everybody loved the movie. It’s really, really a good ‘Indiana Jones’ movie. I’m really proud of what Jim has done with it.” Spielberg added, “When the lights came up I just turned to the group and said, ‘Damn! I thought I was the only one who knew how to make one of these.Indiana Jones and the Dial of Destiny will hit theaters on June 30th.
