Kevin Feige is one of the biggest producers in Hollywood, currently working as the Chief Creative Officer of Marvel Studios. All decisions to greenlight MCU projects and approve comic book storylines are taken by him, among other things. But is he going to leave Marvel for Star Wars? Here’s all you need to know.
Is Kevin Feige Leaving Marvel?
Kevin Feige is rumored to be considering a switch from Marvel and taking over the Star Wars franchise after delivering Avengers: Secret Wars.
While MyTimeToShineHello has proven to be a credible scooper with reliable sources, this rumor must be taken with a grain of salt. After all, her intel has also been debunked in the past.
Kevin Feige has been involved with Marvel since way before the MCU even started. It’s safe to say that his name has almost become synonymous with Marvel. So, even thinking of him leaving the MCU would feel strange to many.
But given that he has been the head honcho for Marvel for close to three decades, it’ll also make sense for him to move on after Avengers: Secret Wars. Up until now, Spider-Man: No Way Home, Avengers: Infinity War, and Avengers: Endgame have been his biggest projects.
But it is presumed that Avengers: Secret Wars will be an even bigger crossover event bringing the old Avengers, New Avengers, Spider-Men, Wolverine, Deadpool, Fantastic Four, X-Men, and several other Marvel heroes together. So, moving on to revive and glorify another franchise might be the next big step in his career, while the MCU gets a potential reboot after Secret Wars.
Will Kevin Feige Join Star Wars?
While it’s important to remember that nothing is officially confirmed, rumors suggest that Kevin Feige will take over Star Wars after MCU Phase 6.
The Marvel CCO is known to be a Star Wars fan and is confirmed to be producing a Star Wars movie as well. So, it would be a sensible decision for Disney to pick their most successful producer to steer Star Wars forward.
