Jamie Foxx seems to finally be on the mend, with him posting a video on Instagram that – for the first time – addresses the health challenge that sidelined him for months. You can see the video below, but Foxx, while not getting into specifics, says he went to “hell and back”, but also throws cold water on some of the rumors, notably that he went blind and became paralyzed. “Now, you know, by being quiet sometimes things get out of hand. People saying what I got, some people said I was blind, but as you can see … the eyes are working just fine. Said I’m paralyzed — I’m not paralyzed.” Foxx also thanked his family and doctors for not only supporting him, but also allowing him privacy from the media as he fought to regain his health. Jamie Foxx is ready to get back in front of the camera. The Hollywood megastar exited the spotlight briefly following a “medical crisis” in April. According to TMZ, Foxx recently filmed a new BetMGM commercial in Las Vegas at the Aria Resort and Casino. Foxx is emerging out of a four-month recovery period after being hospitalized for “medical complications.” Sources say Foxx showed no signs of ailment on the BetMGM set, displaying plenty of energy and enthusiasm to be back in from of cameras. In the photos obtained by TMZFoxx is behind the wheel of a gold-colored F1 race car.

Foxx posted a photo from the Thursday shoot, saying, “We got BIG things coming soon.” Before being spotted on BetMGM’s new promo set, Foxx could be found on the golf course and dominating the pickleball court.

At the time of Foxx’s hospitalization, his daughter, Corinne, posted the following on Instagram: “We wanted to share that my father, Jamie Foxx, experienced a medical complication yesterday. Luckily, due to quick action and great care, he is already on his way to recovery. We know how beloved he is and appreciate your prayers. The family asks for privacy during this time. Much love, The Foxx family.”

Foxx’s latest feature, They Cloned Tyrone, hits Netflix today. Juel Taylor (twenties, Boomerang) directs from a script he co-wrote with Tony Rettenmaier. The mysterious action comedy revolves around a series of eerie events that thrust an unlikely trio into a nefarious government conspiracy. John Boyega (Attack the Block) and Teyonah Parris (The Marvels, Wanda Vision) join Foxx as primary cast members, with Kiefer Sutherland, David Alan Grier, J. Alphonse Nicholson, Tamberla Perry, and Eric B. Robinson Jr.

It’s great to see Foxx back in fighting form, especially since he’s slated to play Mike Tyson in Antoine Fuqua’s TV mini-series Tyson. “I have been looking to tell my story for quite some time,” Tyson said about the project. “With the recent launch of Legends Only League and the excitement from fans following my return to the ring, now feels like the perfect moment. I look forward to collaborating with Martin, Antoine, Jamie, and the entire creative team to bring audiences a series that not only captures my professional and personal journey but also inspires and entertains.”
