Jawan OTT release might coincide with Shah Rukh Khan’s Birthday

After enjoying immense theatrical success of Jawan, fans now eagerly await its release on the popular OTT platform, Netflix. Directed by the renowned filmmaker Atlee, Jawan brings back Shah Rukh Khan in a never seen before avatar.

With 33 days into its theatrical run, the film has been a roaring success at the box office, raking in Rs 614 crore in India alone. Netflix reportedly secured the OTT rights for Jawan in a staggering deal worth Rs 250 crore. Although they haven’t officially confirmed the release date, sources close to the production suggest that Jawan might align with King Khan’s birthday, i.e., November 2. If this turns out to be true, it could be a double celebration for fans, marking the release of their beloved actor’s film and his special day.

Jawan’s Netflix Release to Include Deleted Scenes

While the exact Netflix release date for Jawan is still under wraps, the news that has fans buzzing is the inclusion of deleted scenes in the OTT version. The filmmakers left certain sequences on the cutting room floor to maintain a reasonable duration.

However, Atlee is diligently working on a new cut of Jawan to provide viewers with a more immersive and extended cinematic experience. The OTT runtime will significantly increase from its original 2 hours and 45 minutes in theaters to approximately 3 hours and 15 minutes. Moreover, the extended version will showcase additional character development, plot intricacies, and perhaps more exciting action sequences.

King Khan’s latest high-octane action thriller takes audiences on a gripping journey through the life of a man driven by a burning desire to right the societal injustices he encounters. Jawan boasts a stellar cast, with Nayanthara, Deepika Padukone, and Vijay Sethupathi playing pivotal roles, alongside other talented actors such as Eijaz Khan, Sanya Malhotra, and Priyamani.

As fans eagerly await further details and an official release announcement, one thing is certain – Jawan is gearing up to be included on Netflix’s roster to offer a longer and more immersive cinematic experience.
