Welcome to Samdalri episode 6: Ji Chang-Wook competes for Shin Hye-Sun’s time

The latest Welcome to Samdalri episode begins with where the previous episode left off. Yong-Phil sees Sam-Dal getting drenched in the rain. But before he could get to her with an umbrella, their friend Boo Sang-Do was already there. The latter also has feelings for Sam-Dal and is competing for her time with Yong-Phil.

Meanwhile, Sam-Dal’s assistants are shaken up by the scandal and discuss the company’s future. While they don’t believe that Sam-Dal abused Bang Eun-Ju, the latter’s accusation has only damaged Sam-Dal’s career. While leaving, the two spot a magazine portfolio similar to the one Sam-Dal created. From the CCTV cameras, they discover Eun-Ju stole the portfolio while leaving the company.

They inform Sam-Dal, who decides to head back to Seoul to confront Eun-Ju. To spend more time and help her with the issue, Yong-Phil and Sang-Do volunteer to accompany her. Meanwhile, Sam-Dal’s mother realizes that her daughter and Yong-Phil might still have feelings for each other. Moreover, Sam-Dal’s sisters, Cho Jin-Dal and Cho Hae-Dal, deal with their own personal life struggles.

Sam-Dal arrives in Seoul to confront Eun-Ju, while Yong-Phil and Sang-Do wait outside. She discovers the portfolio, confirming that Eun-Ju has stolen her project. However, instead of confronting about the project, Sam-Dal asks Eun-Ju if her accusations are true. Eun-Ju had previously accused Sam-Dal of bullying her to the extent that she tried taking her own life. Sam-Dal discovers that the accusation was only made so that Eun-Ju could take her place.

Sam-Dal breaks down. However, Yong-Phil calms her down by embracing her, which Sang-Do witnesses. Eventually, Sam-Dal confronts Eun-Ju about the stolen project portfolio, challenging her to complete it all on her own.

Sam-Dal leaves, and Yong-Phil and Sang-Do look for her. Yong-Phil recalls the past when he calmed her down in front of the Jeju bank. He finds her in the same place once again. Yong-Phil asks Sam-Dal to rediscover herself as Sam-Dal and not by her official name, Cho Eun-Hye. The two reflect on their past and eventually head back home.

The following day, Sam-Dal returns to her roots back at home, trying to follow Yong-Phil’s advice. Her family finds out she went to Seoul and confronts her about the same. Sam-Dal gives excuses, reflecting on the time when she couldn’t eat her mother’s side dishes because she just didn’t have time. Eventually, her mother discovers that Yong-Phil and Sang-Do had accompanied Sam-Dal to Seoul.

By the end of the episode, Sang-Do and Yong-Phil meet up. The latter asks if Yong-Phil still has feelings for Sam-Dal. Meanwhile, Sam-Dal is faced with the same question about Yong-Phil from her mother. The end of the episode shows how Yong-Phil thought of his mother and Sam-Dal as his dream. He thinks the dream now has the potential to turn into something beautiful, indicating a rekindling of romance.
