The domestic violence case against Marvel actor Jonathan Majors now involves a London Police report from 2022.
Just a day before a court hearing to determine if the domestic violence case against Marvel Cinematic Universe star Jonathan Majors will move forward comes a new revelation of a previously unreported incident in London last year.
Details regarding the London incident are unknown, but prosecutors are attempting to get a copy of a London Metropolitan Police report from September 2022. They believe it’s relevant to their domestic violence allegations as it’s said that the report involves Jonathan Majors’ then-girlfriend, Grace Jabbari. The filing from the prosecutors mentions “medical records from the United Kingdom, photographs taken by medical providers, and correspondence with medical providers.” Jabbari is a U.K. citizen and Jonathan Majors was in London during that period working on the second season of Marvel’s Loki series for Disney+.
Jonathan Majors is facing misdemeanor charges following an incident on March 25th. After taking a private car service from a Brooklyn party to their Chelsea apartment, Majors and Jabbari got into an argument over text messages on his phone. Jabbari allegedly grabbed the phone from Majors and the filing states that Majors “began grabbing the right side of Ms. Jabbari’s body and prying Ms. Jabbari’s right middle finger off the phone, causing bruising, swelling, and substantial pain.” The actor then “grabbed Ms. Jabbari’s arm and right hand and proceeded to twist Ms. Jabbari’s forearm, causing substantial pain to her finger and arm. The defendant then struck Ms. Jabbari’s right ear, causing a laceration to the back of her ear and substantial pain.” After removing the phone from Jabbari’s grasp, Majors then exited the vehicle and “thew [Jabbari] back inside” when she attempted to follow. Majors’ criminal defence lawyer Priya Chaudhry has alleged that Jabbari was the one who assaulted Majors, calling the case a “witch hunt.“
Although Jonathan Majors has pleaded not guilty to the charges against him, more women have come forward, alleging a history of abuse that goes back many years. Majors can currently be seen starring alongside Tom Hiddleston and Owen Wilson in Loki season 2, but Marvel Studios is likely waiting on the outcome of the trial before deciding his future in the MCU.
