Netflix has finally announced the official Knives Out 3 title and release date window for the next installment to Rian Johnson’s acclaimed murder mystery franchise.
Through a newly-released teaser, Netflix confirmed that Knives Out 3 has now been officially titled as Wake Up Dead Man: A Knives Out Mystery. Johnson also took to social media to reveal that he will be soon begin production on the project, which has been scheduled to make its debut in 2025.
“I love everything about whodunnits, but one of the things I love most is how malleable the genre is,” Johnson wrote. “There’s a whole tonal spectrum from Carr to Christie, and getting to explore that range is one of the most exciting things about making Benoit Blanc movies. We’re about to go into production on the 3rd one, and I’m very, very excited to share the title, which gives a little hint of where it’s going.”

In addition, the announcement video for Wake Up Dead Man: A Knives Out Mystery also featured a voiceover from Daniel Craig, who will be reprising his iconic role as Benoit Blanc in the threequel. In the video, Craig provides a brief recap of the cases he solved in the first two installments, while also teasing that he’s about to face his most dangerous case yet in the upcoming whodunnit movie.

The third installment will once again be written and directed by Johnson, who previously earned Oscar nomination for Best Adapted Screenplay for his work on 2022’s Glass Onion. Johnson is also producing the project alongside Ram Bergman. At the moment, Craig is the only confirmed cast member for the sequel. Besides the James Bond actor, the Knives Out franchise has starred a number of A-listers including Jamie Lee Curtis, Ana de Armas, Chris Evans, Edward Norton, Dave Bautista, Janelle Monáe, and Kathryn Hahn,
