There’s some bad news for loyal fans of the popular franchise. Season 7 of the series will not be released, which means that it’s the end of Lucifer’s journey after six seasons. After a turbulent three-season run on Fox, it was taken up by streaming giant Netflix for another three seasons. The platform had initially planned to cancel the show after the fifth installment but changed its mind.
The cast members of the series signed a 10-episode deal for Season 6 to give closure to the story and their characters. In 2020, the show’s official Twitter account that the sixth installment was the final one in the franchise. Unless the producers, creators, and the platform decide to renew the series as a mini-series or a spin-off of supporting characters, it is highly unlikely that the show will get a seventh season.
