Mia Goth is ready to join the Marvel Cinematic Universe. Deadline reports that Mia Goth is set to join Mahershala Ali in Marvel Studios’ upcoming Blade movie.

Yann Demange (White Boy Rick) is set to direct the Blade movie, with Michael Starrbury (When They See Us) penning the script. In typical Marvel fashion, plot details for Blade are being kept under wraps at this time, and it’s also not known who Mia Goth might be playing. Any guesses?

The character of Blade was originally created by Marv Wolfman and Gene Colan for The Tomb of Dracula #10 in 1973. Blade is a half-mortal, half-immortal who hunts vampires in order to avenge his mother, who was killed by a vampire as she gave birth to him. Bassam Tariq (Mogul Mowgli) was originally attached to direct Bladebut he wound up stepping down last year, leaving Marvel to push pause on pre-production while they searched for a replacement.

Mia Goth has had a hell of a successful year. She blew away audiences with her dual role of Maxine Minx/Pearl in Ti West’s X and reprized the role of Pearl for the prequel movie. West even said that Goth should have received an Oscar nomination for her performance. She recently started shooting the third film of the trilogy, MaXXXinewhich will pick up with Maxine as she “continues her journey towards fame, setting out to make it as an actress in 1980s Los Angeles.

Mia Goth has claimed that MaXXXine has the best script of the trilogy. “It’s the best script of the three by far. It’s going to be the best movie of the three,” Goth said. “We’re all so tight now. This is going to be our third movie we’re working on together and everyone’s coming back together, so it’s bringing the band all back together again. We just have a shorthand with each other. We know how everybody works and we’re all so excited. It’s the biggest story of the three with the highest stakes and Maxine has gone through so much at this point. So when we find her in this new world, she’s just a force to be reckoned with and she goes through some pretty wild adventures.

Blade will hit theaters on September 6, 2024. Who do you think Mia Goth will play in Blade?
