Peacock’s new TV and movie releases for August 5-11 2024 include the highly anticipated release of Mr. Throwback Season 1 and the streaming debut of The Bikeriders.
Starting August 8, Peacock subscribers can watch the first season of Mr. Throwback on the platform. This comedy series helmed by David Caspe, follows an unlucky memorabilia dealer, Danny, who reunites with his sixth-grade teammate, NBA star Steph Curry.
On August 9, The Bikeriders drops on Peacock. This crime-drama film features an impressive cast including Austin Butler, Jodie Comer, and Tom Hardy. The story follows the romance between Kathy and motorcycle club member Benny. Their romance is complicated by Benny’s commitment to both Kathy and his motorcycle club.
Additionally, viewers can enjoy Renfield. It is a horror comedy movie featuring Nicolas Cage and Nicholas Hoult. The story follows Renfield, Dracula’s minion who grows tired of his service to the vampire. Seeking a new life, Renfield’s life takes an unexpected turn when he meets a fiery traffic cop, Rebecca.
On August 11, Marry Me starring Jennifer Lopez and Owen Wilson also drops on Peacock. It is a romantic comedy-drama directed by Kat Coiro, and tells the story of a pop superstar who impulsively marries a stranger after her public proposal goes awry. Following this, the newly married couple tries to navigate their new dynamic.
