Nutcrackers Hulu Streaming Release Date Announced for Ben Stiller Comedy

A Hulu streaming release date for Nutcrackers has been announced.

Nutcrackers is a new comedy-drama movie directed by David Gordon Green. Starring Ben Stiller, the film premiered at the Toronto International Film Festival earlier this year and was then acquired by Hulu.

When is the Hulu release date for Nutcrackers?

Per Deadline, Nutcrackers will be released on Hulu on November 29, 2024. It will also stream internationally on Disney+.

“Nutcrackers follows the work-obsessed Mike (Stiller), who must reluctantly travel to rural Ohio to look after his four rambunctious nephews after their parents die in a car accident,” the synopsis reads. “What begins as a three-day trip to find foster care turns into weeks of farm-life mayhem – and the realization that he doesn’t need to find them a home, they’ve found one for him.”

Linda Cardellini, Edi Patterson, Tim Heidecker, and Toby Huss star in the movie alongside Stiller as do real-life siblings Homer, Ulysses, Atlas, and Arlo Janson.

Leland Douglas wrote the screenplay for Nutcrackers. Rob Paris and Mike Witherill serve as producers with Rough House Pictures’ Nate Meyer.

Green made his feature film directorial debut in 2000 with George Washington. He then went on to direct 2003’s All the Real Girls, 2004’s Undertow, and 2007’s Snow Angels before he started working on R-rated comedy movies such as 2008’s Pineapple Express, 2011’s Your Highness, and 2011’s The Sitter.

Following that, Green directed a handful of other titles such as 2013’s Joe and 2015’s Our Brand Is Crisis before he tackled the most recent Halloween trilogy — 2018’s Halloween, 2021’s Halloween Kills, and 2022’s Halloween Ends — for Blumhouse Productions. He was then supposed to helm a new Exorcist trilogy for Blumhouse; however, the franchise is now being rebooted by Mike Flanagan following the critical and financial failure of 2023’s The Exorcist Believer.
