The latest Malayalam romantic comedy, Premalu, has created history in the theaters and on the OTT platform Aha Video. The movie has left everyone in awe of its unique story featuring love in the modern era. Naslen and Mamitha Baiju led the film, while Sangeeth Pratap, Akhila Bhargavan, Meenakshi Raveendran, and others played supporting roles.
It has been weeks since Premalu Telugu dub debuted on OTT, and it has set a new record. Week after week, the movie is trending on the streaming platform.
Premalu Telugu dub tops Aha streaming chart
The movie was dubbed in Telugu after its massive success in the Malayalam-speaking audience. SS Rajamouli’s son SS Karthikeya bought its Telugu rights and brought it to a whole new audience. As the movie succeeded in the Telugu states, its dubbed version’s OTT rights were acquired by Aha Video. As Premalu Telugu dub made its OTT debut, the movie topped the streaming chart for the entire first week. In the second week, it came down to the second position.
Now, the movie has completed 125 million streaming minutes on Aha Video. Premalu is the first Telugu-dubbed Malayalam movie to achieve this feat on the platform. The platform’s official announcement reads, “Dedicated to all ‘J&K’ lovers! ya..ya..ya..Yaaaaa Celebrating 125 Million minutes premalu…”
Premalu is the story of Sachin, who has already witnessed setbacks in his love life and falls for a girl named Reenu. As he juggles his career and love life, he has to face more problems. The movie’s official synopsis reads, “A charming love story following Sachin’s quest for love as he navigates through unexpected turns, leading to a laughter-filled love triangle.”
