Sean Combs, rape

Sean “Diddy” Combs has been accused of rape and intense physical and psychological abuse by his long-time former girlfriend, Cassandra Ventura.

Cassandra Ventura’s lawyers allege that Sean Combs tried to pay her off with an eight-figure settlement in order to keep things quiet. “Mr. Combs offered Ms. Ventura eight figures to silence her and prevent the filing of this lawsuit,” Doug Wigdor told Deadline. “She rejected his efforts and decided to give a voice to all woman who suffer in silence.  Ms. Ventura should be applauded for her bravery.” In response, Combs’ attorney Ben Brafman said that his client “vehemently denies these offensive and outrageous allegations.

Not only that, but Brafman added that Ventura had allegedly been threatening Combs for the last several months, all while demanding money. “For the past 6 months, Mr. Combs, has been subjected to Ms. Ventura’s persistent demand of $30 million, under the threat of writing a damaging book about their relationship, which was unequivocally rejected as blatant blackmail,” Brafman said. “Despite withdrawing her initial threat, Ms. Ventura has now resorted to filing a lawsuit riddled with baseless and outrageous lies, aiming to tarnish Mr. Combs’ reputation and seeking a pay day.

The rape allegations against Sean Combs are quite disturbing. Over the course of their 11-year personal and professional relationship, Cassandra Ventura alleges that Sean Combs raped her in her own home after she tried to leave him and forced her to engage in sex acts with male sex workers while masturbating and filming the encounters. She alleges that he also often punched, beat, kicked, and stomped on her. The report also alleges that Combs blew up a man’s car after learning that he was romantically interested in Ventura, among other things. Ventura and Combs met in 2005 when she was 19 and he was 37, after which he signed her to his label.

In her own statement, Ventura said, “After years in silence and darkness, I am finally ready to tell my story, and to speak up on behalf of myself and for the benefit of other women who face violence and abuse in their relationships… With the expiration of New York’s Adult Survivors Act fast approaching, it became clear that this was an opportunity to speak up about the trauma I have experienced and that I will be recovering from for the rest of my life.
