Skeleton Crew Sets Earlier Disney+ Release Date


Lucasfilm has officially changed the Disney+ release date for the highly-anticipated Star Wars: Skeleton Crew series. The date announcement also comes with a newly-released teaser, featuring Oscar nominee Jude Law as a Force-user named Jod Na Nawood.

“The series follows the journey of four kids who make a mysterious discovery on their seemingly safe home planet, then get lost in a strange and dangerous galaxy. Finding their way home— and meeting unlikely allies and enemies— will be a greater adventure than they ever imagined,” reads the show’s synopsis

When is the new Skeleton Crew release date?

Originally scheduled to debut on December 3, the first two episodes of Skeleton Crew will now premiere on Disney+ a day earlier on Monday, December 2 at 9 p.m. ET/6 p.m. PT. Subsequent episodes will continue to stream on Tuesdays at 9 p.m. ET/6 p.m. PT for the remainder of the season.

The eight-episode series will take place after the events of the Return of the Jedi. Besides Law, the ensemble cast will also include Ravi Cabot-Conyers as Wim, Ryan Kiera Armstrong as Fern, Kyriana Kratter as KB, Robert Timothy Smith as Neel, Tunde Adebimpe as Wendle, Kerry Condon as Fara, and Nick Frost as droid SM 33 .

Skeleton Crew is created and executive produced by Jon Watts and Christopher Ford. The series is directed by acclaimed filmmakers, Watts, Daniel Kwan (Everything Everywhere All at Once), Daniel Scheinert (Everything Everywhere All at Once), Jake Schreier (Beef, Thunderbolts), David Lowery (The Greet Knight), Lee Isaac Chung (Minari, Twisters), and Bryce Dallas Howard (The Mandalorian).
