Top AEW Star Admits Fear of Competing Against Kazuchika Okada

Kazuchika Okada debuted in AEW earlier this year and has been competing at the highest levels since his arrival. Within a few weeks, he captured the AEW Continental Championship against Eddie Kingston.

The former NJPW star, previously a hot free agent, decided to sign with AEW despite significant interest from WWE. Following his arrival in the promotion, Okada replaced his rival Kenny Omega in The Elite. Prior to that, The Young Bucks had decided to fire Omega from the faction for being inactive. This led to the faction introducing Okada into their group.

Kenny Omega has been out of action due to diverticulitis since December 2023. However, he returned on the May 1 edition of Dynamite, where he was confronted by Kazuchika Okada. Omega was attacked by Jack Perry and The Young Bucks, who delivered an EVP Trigger. Following this assault, Kenny Omega had to be stretchered out of the arena and has remained absent since then.

Currently sidelined with an injury, Omega hinted weeks ago that if he receives medical clearance on time, he could team up with Tanahashi to face The Bucks at Wrestle Dynasty. The Bucks also announced their appearance for Wrestle Dynasty a few weeks ago. Amidst these developments, the former AEW World Champion Kenny Omega recently admitted to being fearful of competing against Kazuchika Okada in his current state.
