Popular K-drama Twinkling Watermelon is all set to air a brand new episode on Monday, October 16, 2023, on tvN and will be available on Viki. The series tells the story of a CODA (child of a deaf adult) student with a gift of music, who travels back in time to 1995 and enters a music shop. He eventually forms a band called Watermelon Sugar with his friends.
Eun-gyeol (Ryeoun) is born to deaf parents and is a model student by day and a guitarist at night. He is accompanied by his friends Lee Chan (Choi Hyun-wook), Se-kyung (Seol In-ah) and Cheong-ah (Shin Eun-soo). Episode 6 ended with many impending storylines yet to be explored and multiple timeline switches. However, the photo stills of the upcoming episode puts one thing into perspective – after quite a few misunderstandings, Lee Chan and Cheong-ah try to become friends and get closer to one another.
Twinkling Watermelon, directed by Song Jong-hyun, premiered on September 25, 2023. The K-drama airs every Monday and Tuesday at 8.50 p.m. KST on tvN and is available to watch on Viki.
Twinkling Watermelon Episode 7 photo stills reveal Choi Hyun Wook & Shin Eun Soo’s interaction
The upcoming episode of Twinkling Watermelon will connect many dots, providing much-needed clarity on the time travel aspect of some of the characters in the story. tvN released the official photo stills for the episode, featuring interactions between Lee-chan (Choi Hyun-wook) and Cheong-ah (Shin Eun-soo).
In one of the previous episodes, Lee-chan was seen scolding Cheong-ah for writing a fake note, which resulted in him being insulted by Se-kyung. When Cheong-ah doesn’t answer, he angrily asks her if she’s deaf, without knowing that, in actuality, she is. However, when he discovers her hearing impairment, he feels guilty about his actions.
However, when he approaches to apologize to her, she faints due to a fever. He takes her to the hospital and ensures to stays with her until she recovers. One of the photos documents Lee-chan holding a piece of paper and Cheong-ah looking at the paper in shock. A couple of other photos feature the two sharing a warm conversation, presumably after he offers to drop her back home.
Viewers have been eager for their storyline to develop, and it looks like the two will become closer friends in the upcoming episode. Episode 7 of Twinkling Watermelon will also explore the time travel stories of Eun-gyeol and Se-kyung. Moreover, it delves deeper into the latter’s sudden change in personality after she returns from the U.S.
