Chloe Fineman shares that Elon Musk made her cry

Chloe Fineman recently shared an emotional experience in which she claimed that Elon Musk made her cry during his Saturday Night Live hosting stint in May 2021. In a now-deleted TikTok video, the SNL comedian opened up about how Musk’s cold and dismissive response to a sketch she had worked hard on left her in tears. The video, posted on November 11, was sparked by Musk’s recent criticism of SNL on X (formerly Twitter), where he expressed frustration with his portrayal on the show and accused it of being out of touch. Fineman said she initially hesitated to speak up but decided to share her own story after seeing Musk’s remarks.

In the video, Fineman explained how she had worked all night on the sketch and was eager to present it to Musk. When she approached him to ask if he had any questions about the script, Fineman claimed that Musk looked at her as if he were “firing me from Tesla.” Musk bluntly told her that the sketch was “not funny.” Musk reportedly began flipping through the script, saying, “I didn’t laugh once, not one time.”

Fineman did not reveal which sketch it was, but she confirmed it made it onto the show. She said, “I actually had a really good time and I thought you were really funny in it, but, you know, have a little manners here, sir.”
