Sabrina Carpenter‘s Fortnite emote has stirred up controversy among players, leading to unexpected backlash. Fortnite players are not happy with Sabrina Carpenter’s emote

Fortnite players are expressing their frustration over Sabrina Carpenter’s latest addition to the game, particularly her ‘Espresso’ emote. It has left many players and fans disappointed. Carpenter, who has been making headlines with her album Short n’ Sweet, officially joined Fortnite on October 16. Her collection of songs is now available as Jam Tracks and special in-game emotes. Among them is the emote that allows players to groove along to “Espresso.”

However, instead of the original version of the track that fans have been enjoying, Epic Games opted for a sped-up remix titled “Double Shot.” This unexpected choice has not gone over well with the Fortnite community. Players are now taking to platforms like Reddit to vent their dissatisfaction. Many believe the remix ruined the emote, claiming the original version of “Espresso” would have been a far better fit.

One user commented on Threads, “They made it worse when its speed up.” Another posted on X (formerly Twitter), “Why is it sped up omg they had one job.” Some fans even admitted that they were initially excited to buy the emote bundle, only to change their minds after hearing the remix.

Despite the backlash, players can still access the standard version of “Espresso” in the game as a Jam Track, usable in Fortnite Festival or as lobby music. However, the controversy surrounding the emote remains, with fans feeling that Epic missed the mark by choosing the sped-up version of the song.
