The idea gained traction in 2023’s The Marvels, which saw Iman Vellani’s Ms. Marvel put forth the proposal of a team-up with Hailee Steinfeld’s Kate Bishop. Since their encounter, little to no information regarding the project has seen the light of day. However, with the recent developments on Agatha All Along, including the reveal of Wiccan or Billy Maximoff, and his boyfriend Eddie, rumors of a Young Avengers movie have started surfacing once again.

Who is MCU’s Hulkling?
At the time of writing, the MCU has yet to officially introduce the Hulkling. Nevertheless, popular fan theories seem to indicate that Miles Gutierrez-Riley’s Eddie, who made his full MCU debut in Agatha All Along Episode 6, could be the one to portray the green extra-terrestrial being.
Gutierrez-Riley initially made his existence known in Episode 2, appearing on-screen in the form of a FaceTime call. However, his character has now joined the show in person, establishing his relationship with Joe Locke’s Wiccan. In the comics, Wiccan shares a romantic bond with the Hulkling, causing fans to speculate that Eddie could be enacting the same character.
With Teen’s identity now confirmed to be Wiccan, theories of Gutierrez-Riley playing the Hulkling have picked up considerable pace. Nonetheless, this speculation has yet to be confirmed by the Marvel executives.
Will Wiccan and Hulkling appear in MCU’s Young Avengers movie?
Despite the uncertainty regarding the project, recent developments have given fans a ray of hope regarding the release of Young Avengers.
Joe Locke’s recent comments about Wiccan’s fate in the MCU, right after his big identity reveal in Agatha All Along, are the major reason why fans think a Young Avengers movie could be in the works. In a recent interview, Locke stated that he would want his character to become the next head of the Avengers.
In the Marvel comics, Hulkling and Wiccan are integral members of the Young Avengers. The former especially joins the group of super-abled youngsters after starting a romantic relationship with Billy Kaplan (or Billy Maximoff).
As such, Wiccan’s reveal, combined with the on-screen appearance of his boyfriend, Eddie, along with Locke’s recent comments, have instilled optimism in the MCU fans regarding the release of Young Avengers in the foreseeable future. Having said that, there are still no official updates pertaining to the film’s release.
