WWE Plans Huge Showdown for World Heavyweight Champion Gunther

WWE RAW Superstar and World Heavyweight Champion Gunther prepares for his upcoming match against Cody Rhodes. During WWE Bad Blood 2024, Triple H announced an exciting clash at the WWE Crown Jewel.

Here, champions from both RAW and SmackDown, including the men’s and women’s divisions, will compete against each other. Although the titles won’t be on the line, the victor will be crowned the Crown Jewel Champion. The WWE World Heavyweight Champion Gunther faces WWE Undisputed Champion Cody Rhodes.

In the women’s division, Women’s World Heavyweight Champion Liv Morgan will face WWE Women’s Champion Nia Jax. With the Crown Jewel event set to take place on November 2, 2024, at the Mohammed Abdo Arena in Riyadh, Saudi Arabia, the stars have confronted each other, with Cody Rhodes and Gunther going back and forth on the mic on RAW.

Latest reports have revealed that while Gunther is set for a massive showdown, the promotion has planned a match for Gunther for the Survivor Series: WarGames. It is against none other than CM Punk.

CM Punk vs. Gunther set for WWE Survivor Series: WarGames

Recent reports from Ibou in the WrestlePurists RAW review indicate plans for Gunther to face CM Punk for the World Heavyweight Championship at the Survivor Series: WarGames. The event will occur at Rogers Arena in Vancouver on Saturday, November 30.

CM Punk, who recently triumphed over Drew McIntyre in a brutal Hell in a Cell match, is currently on a break but might return after WWE Crown Jewel. The promotion teased the matchup between the ring general and the Straight Edge Superstar a few weeks ago on WWE RAW. Wrestling journalist Dave Meltzer also speculated about the promotion’s plans for this match. It now seems that WWE is proceeding to book this showdown for Survivor Series: WarGames in Canada.
