What to expect in The Super Models?
The Super Models will chronicle the modeling career of four women who dominated the modeling world during the 1980s and 1990s. Together, they shifted the power dynamic of an entire industry. The docu-series will give viewers an unprecedented access to Naomi Campbell, Cindy Crawford, Linda Evangelista and Christy Turlington, as they go behind the camera and beyond the catwalk.
“The documentary travels back to the 1980s, when four women from different corners of the world united in New York,” reads the logline. “Already forces in their own right, the gravitas they achieved by coming together transcended the industry itself. Their prestige was so extraordinary that it enabled the four to supersede the brands they showcased, making the names Naomi, Cindy, Linda and Christy as prominent as the designers who styled them.”
The documentary is directed and executive produced by Oscar winner Roger Ross Williams and Larissa Bills. It hails from Imagine Documentaries and One Story Up, with Brian Grazer and Ron Howard also executive producing.
