JTBC’s upcoming K-drama Although I’m Not a Hero or The Atypical Family released a new teaser. The video clip shows a few of the characters and gives a sneak peek into what lies ahead.

The story revolves around the Bok family, which has superpowers. The drama is directed by Cho Hyun-Tak. It is penned by Joo Hwa-Mi. The narrative further delves into when the family starts to lose their powers due to modern-day diseases and mental illness. However, their sudden interaction with a woman, Do Da-Hae (Chun Woo-Hee), can be the key to changing their fate.

JTBC drops the first teaser of Although I’m Not a Hero on their official platforms. The video clip shows Do Da-Hae (Chun Woo-Hee), who is interested in the Bok family. She explains the secrets to others, but they don’t trust her.

She says at the beginning of the teaser, “There’s a secret in that family. I heard they are a family with supernatural abilities, but they lost their abilities due to modern-day diseases.” In the next scene, Do Da-Hae can be seen entering the premises of the Bok Gwi-Joo’s house.

Furthermore, the teaser highlights the superpowers of the family members. Bok Man-Heum (Go Doo-Shim), who could see the future, loses her psychic ability due to insomnia. Bok Dong-Hee (Claudia Kim) is diagnosed with bulimia and can not fly anymore.

On the other hand, Bok Gwi-Joo, who could travel back in time to happy memories, can no longer do that because of his depression. This makes him more anxious. When Da-Hae asks, “Don’t you want to go back to the happy times?” at the end of the clip, Gwi-Joo’s (Jang Ki-Yong) expression adds the intensity.

The drama, Although I’m Not a Hero, highlights mental illness and focuses on societal challenges through the storyline. The viewers are quite excited to know more details about the drama.
