To celebrate the eleventh anniversary of the original Orphan Black series, AMC+ has finally announced the release date for its upcoming sci-fi thriller spin-off Orphan Black: Echoes, starring Jessica Jones’ Krysten Ritter. The series is now slated to premiere on June 23, 2024 on AMC, AMC+, and BBC America.
“Set in the near future, the spin-off takes a deep dive into the exploration of the scientific manipulation of human existence,” reads the synopsis. “It follows a group of women as they weave their way into each other’s lives and embark on a thrilling journey, unraveling the mystery of their identity and uncovering a wrenching story of love and betrayal.”

Who’s involved in Orphan Black: Echoes?
Orphan Black: Echoes is created, written, and executive produced by showrunner Anna Fishko (Pieces of Her, The Society). The main cast includes: Ritter as Lucy, a woman with an unimaginable origin story; Keeley Hawes as perceptive but sensitive scientist who finds herself at odds with her own moral code; Amanda Fix as Jules, a salty teen trying to find herself; Avan Jogia as Lucy’s boyfriend Jack, a soft-spoken former army medic and single father; Rya Kihlstedt as brilliant neuroscientist Eleanor; James Hiroyuki Liao (Barry) as self-made billionaire Darros; and Reed Diamond (Better Call Saul) as head of security Tom.
The 10-episode series is directed and executive produced by the original series’ co-creator John Fawcett. Executive producers are David Fortier, Ivan Schneeberg, Nick Nantell, Kerry Appleyard, and Katie O’Connell Marsh.
