Grotesquerie Teaser Trailer Reveals Ryan Murphy Horror Series & Cast

A Grotesquerie teaser trailer has been released, revealing a new unannounced FX horror series from American Horror Stories co-creator Ryan Murphy.

Variety has reported that the series is set to debut this fall, though no plot or character details from Grotesquerie have been revealed at this time. The cast of the series includes Niecy Nash-Betts, Courtney B. Vance, and Lesley Manville, with the teaser trailer featuring Nash-Betts’ voice as she delivers an eerie monologue.

In the monologue — which sounds like it’s being given over a phone to another character — Nash-Betts’ character explains that something feels “different now” and implies that she worked a crime scene that was horrible enough that “shrinks” were sent for everyone present. She goes on to explain that even though people say the world is statistically safer, she feels that things are not getting better and that something is happening that only she can see.
