Invincible Season 3 Voice Recording Was Finished Prior to Actors Strike

During the Invincible panel at the 2023 San Diego Comic-Con, it was officially confirmed that the voice cast was able to complete their recordings for Invincible Season 3 before the actors strike began.

In a recent interview with ComicBook, series creator Robert Kirkman also assured fans that there will be a much shorter release gap between future seasons of Invincible, compared to the over two-year-long wait for the upcoming Season 2.

“This is a very complicated show,” Kirkman said. “There’s a lot of work going into it. Making an animated series is kind of like assembling a factory and getting that factory running, and now that we have everything in place, this is going to be the longest gap there will ever be between seasons. From this point on, every gap between seasons will be smaller.”

When will Invincible Season 2 come out?

Invincible Season 2 will be divided into two parts, with the first half set to premiere on November 3 on Prime Video. Following a mid-season break, the remaining episodes will then be available for streaming in early 2024.

“Invincible revolves around 18-year-old Mark Grayson, who’s just like every other guy his age – except his father is (or was) the most powerful superhero on the planet,” reads the logline. “In Season 2, still reeling from Nolan’s betrayal in Season One, Mark struggles to rebuild his life as he faces a host of new threats, all while battling his greatest fear – that he might become his father without even knowing it.”

The series features the voices of Steven Yeun, Sandra Oh, JK Simmons, Gillian Jacobs, Andrew Rannells, Walton Goggins, Zazie Beetz, Mark Hamill, Chris Diamantopoulos, and more. Joining them in Season 2 is a guest-star lineup consisting of Tatiana Maslany, Sterling K. Brown, Rhea Seehorn, Rob Delaney, Chloe Bennet, Lea Thompson, Tim Robinson, Daveed Diggs, Peter Cullen, Phil Lamarr, Scoot McNairy, Luke Macfarlane, and more.

Based on Robert Kirkman, Cory Walker, and Ryan Ottley’s comic book series, Invincible is described as a suspenseful, action-filled, emotion-packed series. The comic launched in 2003 and wrapped up last February after 144 issues.
