Long Bright River Cast Adds 6 Members to Peacock Limited Series


Long Bright River, Peacock’s upcoming limited series adaption of Liz Moore’s 2020 novel, is adding six new cast members in recurring roles.

Variety is reporting Dash Mihok (Ray Donovan), Britne Oldford (Dead Ringers), Matthew Del Negro (The Sopranos), Harriet Sansom Harris (Licorice Pizza), Patch Darragh (Succession), and Perry Mattfeld (In the Dark) have been cast in recurring roles.

Mihok will play Eddie, with Oldford as Aura, Del Negro as Simon, Sansom Harris as Mrs. Mahon, Darragh as Sergeant Kevin Ahearn, and Mattfield as Paula.

These six actors join an ensemble headlined by Amanda Seyfried and previously announced cast members Nicholas Pinnock, Ashleigh Cummings, Callum Vinson, and John Doman.

Who is Involved in Long Bright River?

“Long Bright River tells the story of Mickey (Seyfried), a police officer who patrols a Philadelphia neighborhood that’s been greatly impacted by the opioid crisis,” the series synopsis reads. “However, when a string of murders begins in the neighborhood, Mickey comes to realize that her personal history might be related to the case.”

Moore will adapt her New York Times bestselling novel for Peacock alongside Nikki Toscano (The Offer), with the latter serving as the showrunner. Moore, Toscao, and Seyfried will serve as executive producers alongside Neal H. Moritz, Pavun Shetty, and Amanda Lewis for Original Film. Additional executive producers include Amy Pascal for Pascal Pictures and Russell Rothberg.

Long Bright River stems from Sony Pictures Television and UCP. Hagar Ben-Asher will direct and executive producer the first episode.
