The final major update to Crystal Dynamics’ Marvel’s Avengers arrived this past week, unlocking hundreds of cosmetics as the game winds down its support. Taking to social media, the studio thanked fans for its support over the past two years.
In a recent tweet sent out on the official Marvel’s Avengers account, Crystal Dynamics thanked its community of 16 million for playing through the various operations, expansions, and more over the past two years. The tweet also thanked fans for supporting the game by playing new missions, purchasing hero cosmetics, and even extending thanks to the community’s moderators in the process.

The video comes after Crystal Dynamics essentially issued its final update for the game, which unlocked hundreds of cosmetics for fans as well as tweaked some of the game’s systems for the future.
Alongside unlocking hundreds of cosmetics for free, in-game credits have been converted to other resources. Hero’s Catalysts and Fragment Extractors have also been taken out of the game, but players will now get a permanent 1.5 multiplayer on fragments and experience.
The game is also still being delisted from digital storefronts on September 30, and servers will stay on for the foreseeable future so players can play solo or in co-op. Some minor fixes might be deployed until then (like the hotfix coming on April 4), but the game will mostly be left alone after it gets delisted.
Crystal Dynamics said it “can’t guarantee that [it] will be able to address issues that occur due to unforeseen circumstances” after September, so bugs that pop up after that might go unfixed since the studio will presumably be fully focusing on the next tomb Raider game.
