Star Wars Fortnite Update Adds Darth Maul and Other Prequel Characters

Fortnite is celebrating the upcoming Star Wars Day with another Star Wars Fortnite update that includes a variety of iconic items.

What’s in the latest Fortnite Star Wars Update?

The new content arrives today and includes a new event, skins, and more. The latest event, called “Find the Force,” will run from May 2 and last all the way through to May 23, 2023. The event will see players utilizing various weapons from the Star Wars universe, including lightsabers, E-11 blasters, and strength abilities, as they try to earn a Victory Royale.

Of course, new in-game skins will also be available for fans to purchase, including some of the most beloved Star Wars characters. This time around, Anakin Skywalker, Padme Amidala, and Darth Maul are available to buy, as are skins for the 501st Clone Trooper and 212th Clone Trooper.

Anakin, Padme, and the Clone Troopers will be available in the game’s store, but Darth Maul can be earned in Fortnite’s newest mini Battle Pass, which will cost 1,000 V-Bucks to unlock the premium reward track that includes Maul.

Alongside the skins and events, force abilities have also been added to the game. These give players the power to push, pull, and lift items and players. The lightsaber also makes a return to the game. Players who equip it can double jump and run faster, which gives them an inside edge at beating out other players.

This isn’t the first time that Fortnite and Star Wars have collaborated. The game has previously partnered with the brand to promote the sequel trilogy. Past events have also occurred in which players could buy skins of Luke Skywalker, Han Solo, Finn, an Imperial Stormtrooper, and more. It also comes a day after Star Wars collaborated with Rocket League.
