“Taking place during the events of John Wick: Chapter 3 – Parabellum, Ballerina follows Eve Macarro (Ana de Armas) who is beginning her training in the assassin traditions of the Ruska Roma,” the official logline reads.

Rooney, who was previously played by Unity Phelan in John Wick: Chapter 3 — Parabellum, is a ballerina who is seeking revenge after her family is murdered. The film also stars Anjelica Huston, Gabriel Byrne, Catalina Sandino Moreno, Norman Reedus, Ian McShane, Sharon Duncan-Brewster, David Castañeda, and the late Lance Reddick.

“I’m very proud of it,” de Armas previously told Collider about the movie. “It’s really exciting. It’s dangerous, it’s sexy, it’s very John Wick. I think people are going to be surprised. I’m biased. Of course, I like the movie, but I think it’s really cool. It’s going to be amazing.”

Wiseman previously directed 2003’s Underworld, 2006’s Underworld: Evolution, 2007’s Live Free or Die Hard, and 2012’s Total Recall.
